About Building Concepts, Inc.
Building Concepts, Inc. was established in 1993 by Patrick Clark, Civil Engineer. Having been raised in the Carson Valley with strong personal ties to the community, Pat was determined to establish a local Engineering and Design firm that would become both an established name and a valuable asset to local industry.
For more than 30 years Building Concepts, Inc. has steadily built a reputation for outstanding quality and customer service in the Planning, Engineering, and Custom Home Design fields. Our extensive knowledge of local, state, and city building codes, as well as our strong relationship with local planning, building, and permitting agencies, makes us an excellent choice for your next project.
Our Team
Pat Clark, Principal Engineer
Pat grew up in Carson Valley, Nevada, attended Douglas High School in Minden, and graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1993. He founded Building Concepts, Inc. in 1994. Introduced to the construction industry early in life, Pat worked in his father’s custom cabinet shop, designed trusses at a local truss manufacturing plant, and performed other construction-related work in between his classes in college. He holds professional Civil Engineering licenses in both California and Nevada, as well as a Residential Design license in Nevada. Pat has strong ties to the local community, having raised both his children in Carson Valley, creating close friendships and business relationships, and always striving to support the interests of the community.
Jeremy Aleman, E.I.T.
Jeremy was born in California and moved to Gardnerville as a young child. He attended Douglas High School where he played baseball all four years and graduated in 2017. After his high school graduation, Jeremy attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his tenure at UNR, Jeremy worked as an intern for Building Concepts over summer and winter breaks. This internship turned into a full-time position after his graduation in 2021. Jeremy currently works as a Staff Engineer In training with the goal of becoming fully licensed in the coming years. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys skiing, fishing, dirt biking, hunting, and any other activity that gets him outdoors.
Dacia Clark, Office Manager
Dacia grew up in the San Juan Islands in Washington State. She began bookkeeping at age 15 at a local plumbing shop and has pursued a career in accounting and office administration ever since. Dacia has
worked for many types of businesses over the years including a seafood wholesaler, a fine art gallery, a community health center, a sports club, and custom home builders. Dacia brings years of experience, a strong sense of organization, and attention to detail to her role as Office Manager. Dacia moved to the Carson Valley in January 2002, raised her two children here, and continues to enjoy all the area has to offer, including local community events, camping, and hanging out at beautiful Lake Tahoe with family and friends.
